Kia Rio Tops Subcompact Ratings For Consumer Reports

The Kia Rio topped the subcompact sedan ratings from Consumer Reports, beating out Hyundai and Chevy for the top spot. Perhaps this is why sales have been up 37% over the last year, and why customers are extremely happy with their new Rios. Come by today to see why people everywhere are choosing Kia!
Consumer Reports rates the Kia Rio the top subcompact sedan, ahead of the Hyundai Accent and Chevrolet Sonic, in its road tests released Thursday.
CR test drivers praised the redesigned Rio for its nimble handling, smooth transmission and relatively low level of noise for a subcompact. The magazine also cited the Hyundai Elantra for top MPG and the Chevrolet Sonic for comfortable ride and good handling, but ranked them just below the Rio. The full results appear in the May issue or, for subscribers, online at the Consumer Reports web site.
The overall tests showed how much subcompacts have improved recently as auto makers work to meet consumer demand and federal regulations for higher gas mileage. "Subcompact cars were once collectively known as penalty boxes for their noisiness, rudimentary interiors, uncomfortable rides and weak performance," notes David Champion, head of the CR auto test center. "But now improved redesigns, combined with an affordable price and impressive fuel economy, make a number of subcompacts good choices for people looking to stretch their budget."

The 2013 Mazda CX-5

The 2013 Mazda CX-5 is already getting great reviews and turning some heads. Take a look at this article on  the Washington Post about how this car is perfect for car enthusiasts.
Meet the 2013 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring AWD, the most complete compact crossover-utility vehicle I’ve driven to date. That includes the CX-5’s outstanding Japanese rival, the redesigned Honda CR-V.
The CR-V has a slightly larger four-cylinder engine than the CX-5 — 2.4 liters for the Honda (185 horsepower, 163 foot-pounds of torque), compared with 2 liters for the Mazda (155 horsepower, 150 foot-pounds of torque). But it’s the overall quality of Mazda’s engineering and vehicle design that’s impressive.
A larger engine, for example, does not guarantee better driving. What matters is how engine power is produced and transmitted. In the CX-5, those operations constitute a collective work of genius.

The 2012 Limited Optima

Kia is stepping up the game to bring you the 2012 Limited model Optima, paving the way for a push towards more elegant sedans for the brand. In addition to the tech you get with an Optima, the 2012 Limited model includes 18-inch chrome wheels, LED running light housed in the wraparound headlamps, and a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Drivers will also enjoy a luxurious interior complete with leather seas, wood trim, and a unique design.
Kia is pumping up the appeal of its popular midsize Optima sedan with a 2012 Limited model. The Limited is a new top-end version that adds even more polish to the fastest-growing brand’s nameplate.
“The Optima Limited includes all of the premium technology, convenience and performance features found on the turbocharged SX model, and adds some elegant touches to really pick it up a notch,” said Tom Loveless, Kia’s vice president of sales.
Taking the SX model to a higher level, Kia added some eye-grabbing extras. The Limited rides on 18-inch chrome-clad five-split-spoke wheels, and peeking between the front spokes are red-painted brake calipers. These clamp 12.6-inch vented front discs, and 11.2-inch solid discs are at the rear.

Kia Motors Has All-Time Best February Sales

Kia has had an unprecedented jump in sales this February, marking their highest February sales to date. Sales jumped up 37.3% across all brands with a total of 45,038 cars sold in February alone. Kia has been one of the world's fastest growing automotive brands over the last few years, and it has launched more new cars in the U.S. than any other automaker. Perhaps this attention to the American public is why Kia's sales have jumped so significantly, and why people are choosing to drive Kia over the competition. Come by to learn more about why we are quickly becoming a favorite, and how you can fall in love with your very own Kia.
Kia Motors America (KMA) today announced the brand's best ever February sales of 45,038 units, a 37.3-percent increase over the same period in 2011. Year-to-date sales are up 32.9 percent on the strength of popular vehicles such as the built-in-the-U.S.(1) Optima midsize sedan and the Soul urban passenger vehicle, which led February sales with 11,558 and 10,876 units sold, respectively. Kia continues to be one of the fastest growing car companies in the U.S., and the February sales total marks the brand's 18th straight monthly sales record.
"Kia's record-breaking sales momentum has continued in 2012, and one of our key growth enablers has been the success and efficiency of our first U.S. manufacturing plant, Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia (KMMG), which produced its 500,000th vehicle in February, just over two years since opening its doors," said Byung Mo Ahn, group president and CEO of KMA and KMMG. "A new top-of-the-line Optima will begin production at KMMG in just a few weeks, and the Optima Limited will once again showcase Kia's unique ability to redefine value with its world-class design, turbocharged performance and a number of premium features and amenities while remaining true to our core philosophy of offering consumers quality, outstanding fuel efficiency, advanced safety features and new technologies."
